Three Free Web 2.0 Techniques You Need to Know

Search engines are essential, and we'd be lost without them. However, a personal recommendation from someone you know to look at a website, blog post, podcast or news item is a great thing to have, especially if such recommendation is posted on a community site with millions of visitors daily. Potential to reach millions of people a day is the power of Web 2.0.

Web 2.0 is simply a name (given by Tim O'Reilly) for the internet phenomenon that began around the year 2003: This was about the time when intuitively easy-to-use websites for social bookmarking and social networking began to sprout up all over the web. Such sites include Facebook, Squidoo, Flickr, MySpace and more. But these websites have more to offer than just keeping in touch with old friends. Instead, they offer you the chance to make cash... and tons of it.

When harnessed correctly, Web 2.0 brings you five things:

1.) The ability to bring a large number of ways to promote and advertise your product or service.

2.) The ability to develop a strong relationship with a large audience, to whom you can easily and quickly distribute your product or service.

3.) A way to get your product or website in front of thousands of eyes without depending on a search engine.

4.) A place to set up your website to attract hundreds of visitors with money to spend.

5.) A home for your website that not only fetches visitors but creates fans.

Indeed, Web 2.0 is great for internet marketers because its users make up many communities that either like or hate your products and they won't hesitate to share their experiences with each other.

So, if your product or service is of real quality, you can expect to make some cash.

Now you might be asking, "What are some of the key methods internet gurus are using to make full-time incomes using Web 2.0?" Well, here are three:

I. Blogs

Do a search on Google for "do follow blog list." Using the search results, find a blogging website that allows you to place "do follow links" in your blog. Alternatively, you can use Firefox's SEO plugin to avoid blogs that have "do NOT follow" enabled. Visit http://tools.seobook.com for the plugin. Once you have a blogging site, enter your keywords (if you have any) as the name for your blog and you will eventually get ranked by the search engines. Finally, try to write four posts a week while always blogging your links.

II. Social Bookmarking

Go to http://traffikd.com/social-media-websites for a list of social bookmarking sites. You want to be listed on all of them because as people bookmark you, the search engines will take more notice of you and the higher you'll be ranked for your niche. On these sites, just bookmark your website and add a description and tags. To streamline your bookmarking efforts, visit Onlywire.com. Post at least two social bookmarks per week.

III. Yahoo Answers

Question and answers forums can generate lots of traffic. So, first find your niche. Once there, get an account and answer 2-3 posts. After this, start adding your link to your posts. Do not spam by only posting your links or you will be banned. Try to answer two questions a week.

With these three tactics, you will generate huge amounts of internet traffic. And, after awhile, you can ease off of your efforts in these areas a bit and the networking effects of the internet will take over. But don't stop here! There are numerous other Web 2.0 techniques out there. For a free report on them, I suggest visiting http://www.eyeitfinditbuyit.com/web20stampede.htm. Happy Networking!
